Vinay Kambipura started his teaching career in 2012 at St. Joseph’s College of Commerce, Bangalore. He has designed and taught General English and Additional English courses for B.Com and BBA students. He has designed and taught ‘Gender and Leadership,’ ‘Senses of Cinema – An introduction to film criticism’ and 'Media, Technology and Society’ courses under CBCS system. He has played a vital role in designing the curriculum for General English under the autonomous system.

Vinay Kambipura has held several administrative roles such as NSS Programme Officer, Editorial Committee Coordinator and College Associations and Clubs Coordinator. He has assisted the college in several important tasks such as writing the Self Study Report for the fourth cycle of NAAC assessment, designing, and implementing the transition to online classes during the covid pandemic, and coordinating the golden jubilee celebrations of the institution. He currently heads the Department of English.
